Lighting
Very often overlooked and unnoticed but lighting is extremely important for a space. Poor lighting can make an experience agitating and distracting, whether conscious to a visitor or not. Our approach is to create a soothing and comfortably lighted environment for visitors and employees alike, taking into account direct and indirect light, color temperature, brightness, and dimming possibilities.
Atmospherics
Atmosphere reflects more than individual elements — it is the flow, intention, and visual language of a space working together. We consider visitor behavior, seating, standing, walking, entertainment, outdoor areas, and visual elements to improve comfort and natural flow.
Sound Sytem
It’s extremely important to have a great, full sound throughout a space. The sound should penetrate evenly, remain relatively unseen, and feel indirect rather than overwhelming. Poor sound can cause agitation and distraction whether conscious in a visitor or not. We work within budgets ranging from high-end systems to subtle, inexpensive adjustments. With correct equalization, balancing, and placement, dramatic improvement is often possible without major replacement.
Service
In cocktail-focused environments, drinks are as important as food and serve as a signal of quality and intention. We analyze cocktails, bartending practices, and service flow, offering improvements, house recipes, and foundational training. We can also create digital recipe documentation to ensure consistency for both existing and incoming staff.
Acoustics
Acoustic reflection plays a massive role in comfort. Reflection and reverberation compound as sound from music, voices, and ambient noise gather throughout a space. Poor acoustics force people to speak louder, overwhelming music and conversation alike and creating discomfort. We analyze decibel levels and reverberation points, offering solutions that dampen sound while matching the aesthetic of the environment.
Entertainment
Entertainment should serve the space, not dominate it. We evaluate quality, placement, intention, and balance. Games such as pool or shuffleboard are assessed for placement, equipment quality, maintenance, and pricing. We recommend improvements or alternatives that better suit the space and overall experience.
